The Holiday Project

Dec 5, 2011

Did you know that only 40% of those in medical institutions such as hospitals, nursing homes, V.A. hospitals and others receive visitors at the holidays?  We are highlighting several ways of giving over this holiday season.  Maybe when your family comes into town for Christmas or Hanukkah, you can plan an outing of giving and sharing God’s love to those who are lonely and without family.  The first is The Holiday Project.  The mission of The Holiday Project is to pass on from generation to generation the responsibility of making a difference in the world beginning with the experience we make in each other’s lives.  They bring the spirit of the holidays to those who would otherwise not have cause to celebrate.  The Holiday Project is a non-profit and has local chapters around the country.  Check out their website for one in your area.
