Cool nights, apple cider, pumpkin carving and we can’t forget…..fall comfort foods.  This time of the year calls for pots of soups simmering on the stove and the smell of fresh baked pies in the oven.  What about a trip to your local farmstand, farmer’s market or pumpkin patch?  There’s nothing like cooking with seasonal and extremely fresh ingredients; and soups are a great dinner for two.  Check out the recipes below and experience and embrace the warmth of Fall.

Perfect for an Autumn evening of entertaining or just a simple dinner for two.

For a lighter touch, substitute skim milk or 2% for the heavy cream.

  1. Farm to table is our favorite way to cook and eat. Farmers Markets are our passion. This is the time of year for soup and the markets are full of pumpkins and squash. I look forward to trying the recipes.
